Labor Day weekend

This past weekend we went camping with a few of the Cohoons and had a lot of fun! we went up Provo Canyon, and Sunday we hiked Stewart Falls, it was 2 miles each way, and just my kind of hike (I wasn't doing that 17 mile timp hike) Harley was so good all weekend, she even hiked the whole way with us (and only got carried for a few minutes here and there)

I'm glad we got to have a last summer time hurrah with games, and s'mores and some regular old relaxin time with my 2 favorite pals

here's some pictures from when we finally made it to Stewart falls...and a random pic of me wakeboarding a couple weeks ago.

White Chrysler Lebaron

I have an obsession. I Love music. ok, ok whats new EVERYONE claims to love music. well you are right but let me tell you why i am different.

I can not tell you the title and artist of every song on the radio, not even close, not even a little, not hardly at all compared to most self proclaimed music gurus. but when I find a song I like, I go nuts. I wish my life were a song. I wish the world was one big musical and everyone broke out in synchronized song and dance every 5-10 minutes. I wish the world never spoke, they only sang.

So Have you ever heard of Cake? yeah they are a band, and they have a song- might of heard of it, "short skirt/Long Jacket" ( see that's probably not even the real name of the song, I told you I didn't know, and I honestly don't' care) the point is at one part of the song he says one thing or another about....

A White Chrysler Lebaron

Ever since that song, I wanted to own a white Chrysler Le Baron. we thought about buying a new car, and I would only accept suggestions if there was a song about that car.

Until my husband showed me what a Chrysler Le baron looks like:

GROSS! who wants a car like that? no offense if you have one...but its not the dream car I'd imagined since I was 15. So now I guess I'm dreaming of a little red rodeo, or a GTO....perhaps even a pink cadillac. why don't people make songs after COOL things. *sigh*

Harley

So I don't have a child, but I have a husband and a dog and I'm pretty content with that right now. Especially cause Harley just had ANOTHER major surgery. Ok well Jeremy tells me its not all that major, and dogs get spayed/neutered every day, but it was a big deal to me and our little 3 pound bundle of love.

She pulled through like a little trooper though, crazy with excitement when i went to pick her up. it took her about an hour later to realize she didn't feel so good. She's been sleeping and laying around ever since but hopefully she'll start feeling better again soon. She did discover that HUGE scar on her belly is fun to experiment with and lick all over, so instead of making her wear an ugly cone to stay away from it we just put a shirt on her instead. .. Thanks Alena and Hyrum :)

Isn't she adorable?

Get well soon Harley!

Puppy!

That's right the day we got back from Disneyland we were able to go watch our friends get sealed in the temple, it was a great experience and the first sealing I've seen since my own wedding, so it was a nice reminder of the important covenants We had made previously, afterward we went up to West Jordan and picked up... our little Harley!!! she is so adorable I can't even stand it. the first few nights were rough, I thought we had bought a baby for how many times we had to get up in the night but she slowly got in a routine and we no longer wanted to kill her, and in good timing too. only 1 week after we got her Harley got very sick and had to spend all of memorial day weekend in the hospital! She had 2 hernias and a virus, we were very worried about our little girl and prayed for her all weekend, no one was sure if she'd make it. but when we went to check on her this morning the Dr sent her home and she's been doing pretty good ever since. We still have to watch her close and be sure she eats but I'm hopefully she'll pull through here pretty soon, we love our Harley!

Disneyland!

That's right we got back a little bit ago from a fantastic and not quite long enough vacation to California. It was well needed and so fun! we spent the first night in Las Vegas then drove the rest of the way in the morning where we visited Jeremy's mission, we ate at the ghetto hole in the wall places he claims taste good drove all over the place and were able to catch a few people at home who still remember Elder Dudley after all these years. I had my first experience seeing a child breastfeed who was old enough to walk and ask for it, minor freak out, but i survived.

We spent the rest of the week at Disneyland, California Adventure, Sea World, Universal Studios, and the Wild animal Park it was awesome.

When we hit about mesquite I realized the camera which I vowed to be better about was still sitting on the table and will have to get copies of photos from family.

We had a lot of fun together and I cried the last time we left Disneyland but it was fun and definitely a Trip i'll never forget,

Highlights and Lowlights:

- I rode my first upside down roller coaster, and literally thought I was dying.
- Ate the most expensive meal of my life at the Blue Bayou (inside Pirates of the Caribbean) 2 people, $100.00 ouch
- My first chance to wear a swimsuit of the year wahoo!
- I touched a sting ray..( and got really grossed out)
- 5 blisters per foot, ouch.
- Watched the fireworks over sleeping beauty's castle.
- Saw Minnie Mouse!
and so much more I can't even remember it was a lot of fun and just might be the happiest place on earth!

We bought a puppy

That's right on Saturday we went and finally bought me a little doggie. I am so excited she is the most precious thing ever. she's too little to leave her mama yet so we'll pick her up on the 16th, the day we get back from Disneyland what more could a person ask for!? We're thinking of naming her Harley but are still open to ideas, isn't she so cute!

My name is Ashley and I have a problem...

I don't know how to take pictures. No seriously I don't know what the deal is, i have a camera, its always in my purse yet it quite obviously never comes out. I wish i was one of those snap happy people who have pictures of EVERYTHING but I'm just not. That being said you'll have to read about my life instead of viewing it through pictures:
This last week has been somewhat eventful, Monday I did the unthinkable and cut off 11 inches of hair from my head. That's right almost a whole foot. It is now very short and fortunately I like it. It is still sitting in a bag on my kitchen table but the plan is to send it to Locks of Love, I'm sure it'll make it there...eventually.

Then on Friday we drove up to Boise to visit my family for Easter! I'm kind of a little baby when it comes to my family, and miss them often so my husband was nice enough to follow me up there at 11:30 at night on Friday to arrive at nearly 5 o'clock the next morning. we had a big Easter egg hunt which only made me more baby hungry, and Jeremy got to go on a little scenic tour in my dad's plane. I'm glad we went and can't wait to see them again in June when they come bring my little sister Chelsea down to school at BYU.

Well we're planning on going to Disneyland here in just a few more weeks, and even sooner than that will be finals and no more school for at least 6 more weeks for Jeremy, so hopefully we'll get to have some fun, and take some dang pictures while we're at it!

and again...

ok a better version....
video

my...I mean OUR house!

ok so my camera died halfway through, and now it is acting funny again so I'll try and get better pictures later but at least here's a start. this is video from when we came and saw the house again after our offer was unexpectedly accepted. we forgot what it looked like so our Realtor let us come take a look again with Jeremy's family. I only get to a little bit of the house but I'll try it again later tonight adn hopefully i can get the rest.

video

and here's a random picture of jeremy concentrating REALLY hard at the piano (his parent's)... he wants to get one for our house, but I told him a baby is the next priority so we'll see who wins that fight :)

oh and ps we didn't use the shower curtains until we bought new liners and washed the curtain...and we threw away the loofah in case you were wondering haha

Isn't my mom adorable?

I know, i should probably of put down the camera and helped, but she was just so cute.

and I'm working on getting pictures of the house.... i had to empty my memory card first so, be patient.

Love you mama!

Our Anniversary!

Can you believe it?! we made it one WHOLE year and haven't killed each other yet :) Yesterday was our anniversary and it's crazy to think we've been married that long, time flies i guess! Although our anniversary was rather interesting it was still fun, my mother was staying with us... so it wasn't the most romantic day of our lives, but she was able to bring us a fresh cake topper with her that was delicious! we went to church and spent some time at my aunt's then, visited Jeremy's dad. and went home adn watched our wedding video and went to bad. although it wasn't the ideal first anniversary i think we both had fun and will hopefully be able to do something fun for spring break to celebrate in a week or two.
As for the rest of the weekend I had a lot of fun, my mom and dad came to visit and see our new house! they helped us get it put together a lot more and i finally feel like i can post pictures that i won't be embarrassed by :) so hopefully I can get to that tonight. we had a good time and I'm sad I won't be able to see them again probably til summer :(.

Oh also! we haven't really gotten to talk to them yet but Jason and Larissa are finally officially engaged! they are thinking end of June for the wedding, we are so excited for them!

We bought a house!!!

ok, well not exactly, but pretty close. we are under contract and are getting everything together to hopefully close before the end of the month!

It was a little bit sooner than I'd planned on buying but we got a screaming deal on an amazingly gorgeous home so we decided not to pass it up! It's in Spanish Fork, the one place I never thought I'd live, but I'm really excited and can't wait to move in!!

P.S. if you would like to donate to the "we need furniture in this new house besides our bed" then just let me know I'm sure we can arrange something!

Pics to come as soon as I can!

Merry Christmas

After 5 years or so of myspace I gave in and got a Facebook account as well.
Ashley Dudley's Facebook profile

I used to have a friend and my favorite thing would be when he asked people "are you on the space" and better yet they knew what he meant. for some weird reason i got a kick out of it. I don't want to start a "what's better between my space and facebook, or even blogger" I'm learning they are all great in their own special way :)

You'll get a special Christmas blog later, no worries.
